Police share photos of truck potentially involved in Richland kidnapping

UPDATE: Police have released photos of a possible vehicle of interest.

The vehicle is a 2007-2013 silver Chevrolet extended cab pickup. It appears to have a black cover over the bed.

Richland residents with surveillance cameras who live between Williams Blvd and Lee Blvd., Stevens Dr. and Thayer Dr. are asked to consider reviewing them.

RICHLAND, Wash. — Richland police are investigating a possible abduction Thursday near Richland High School.

According to a press release, police said they received a report of a man in an older, dark-colored small pickup truck who abducted a teenager just before 5 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s with a muscular build. The victim is described as a 14 or 15-year-old boy who is possibly Hispanic. The victim was wearing a blue backpack and gray sweatshirt.

Authorities told KAPP-KVEW no teen has been reported missing.

Information is very limited at this time. Police are working with the Richland School District to identify potential suspects.
