Public forums begin for Tri-Cities city council candidates

Tri-Cities residents will have the opportunity to ask questions to their local city council candidates within the next week.

The top vote earners in the August primaries for each city will compete against each other in November.

Richland is hosting a public hearing on July 11 at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the HAPO Stage at John Dam Plaza.

Richland City Council has 14 candidates running for four open positions.

Kennewick’s public hearing will be Monday July 17 at 6:30 p.m. inside the Kennewick Library on 1620 South Union Street.

The city has nine candidates running for two seats.

Pasco’s public hearing will be Wednesday July 19 at 6:30 p.m. It will take place at the Pasco Police Training Center at 204 West Clark Street.

Eleven candidates are running for two seats.

For Council Position #3: Sandra Kent, Shir Regev, Lloyd Becker.

For Council Position #4: Michael Luzzo, Ginger Wireman, Ryan Lukson.

For City Council Position #7: Dori Gilmour, Eldon Eskeli, Michael Alvarez, Frank Boasen.

Candidates for Kennewick City Council Position #4: Jim Millbauer, Leo Perales, Bill McKay, Ed Pacheco, Christy Watts, Austin Griffin

For Pasco City Council Position 2, Ward 2: Steve Lee, Gregory A. Jones, Shane Fast.
Candidates for Pasco City Council Position District 4: Pete Serrano, Roberto Garcia, Dan Hatch, Trevor Sall, Abel Campos, and Chi Flores
