Rain continues for areas dealing with flooding -Kristin

Friday night rain

Light rain showers continue to fall around the foothills of the Blues out the door. Many rivers will crest this morning before falling later today. Thankfully the wet weather will move out with a little sunshine returning by afternoon.

Here are some of the areas experiencing Major Flooding this morning:

A Flash Flood Warning is in place for south Central Walla Walla County until 10:45AM. Emergency management reported that water will be released from Mill Creek into areas west of Walla Walla producing flash flooding. Areas that will be impacted include College Place and Garrett.

A Flood Warning is in place for the Umatilla River at Pendleton until late tonight with major flooding occuring.

A Flood Warning is in place for the Walla Walla River at Touchet until Sunday afternoon with major flooding occuring.

Another front will swing through tonight with spotty rain showers developing after 10PM tonight. A shower or two will linger into Saturday. The mountains will pick-up snow starting late today through Saturday.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the Northern Blues and Eastern Slopes. A Winter Storm Warning is in place for the Cascades. Please check pass reports before traveling!
