Rain showers, turning breezy ringing in 2020 -Kristin

Rain showers and wind as we ring in the New Year

Happy Monday! Areas of drizzle have developed around the area with plenty of clouds and patchy fog. Temperatures are just above freezing, so not concerned about icy roads. The drizzle will taper off this afternoon with the clouds sticking around. Not much of a warm-up today with highs climbing into the upper 30’s to near 40 degrees.

Turning unsettled New Year’s Eve with scattered rain showers moving into the area by morning. The eastern slopes will have a chance of light freezing rain early. On and off rain showers will persist throughout the day with highs in the upper 30’s and low 40’s. Winds will pick up by evening/night with gusts at times 25 to 35 MPH. A bit drier by midnight with only a few rain showers leftover.
