Rattlesnake Hills fire expected to be 85-percent contained by tonight

Wildfire still keeping crews busy tonight.

Crews reassessing the fire, which is burning at least 2,916 acres, but it’s no longer spreading.

Firefighters, working overnight to put out flames that started late Wednesday night threatening homes and crops.

Crews today pushing as hard as possible to get rid of hot spots before winds pick up

“This fire burned really high really quick and then it went out and that’s the way we like it, recovery was pretty good last night I’m thinking that from our incident management perspective we should be done and out of here by around 4 tomorrow,” said incident command spokesperson Tim McKern.

Level two evacuations have been lifted…and there were no injuries or damages.

The fire, 85-percent contained by tonight.

The cause, still under investigation.
