Residents displaced after West Richland apartment fire

WEST RICHLAND, Wash. — An early, Friday morning fire has displaced some West Richland residents.

According to Benton County Fire District Number Four, units were dispatched to The Enclave at West Richland off of 38th Avenue for reports of a fire.

When fire crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke and a fire coming from a second story apartment.

Luckily, all residents were evacuated safely and nobody was injured.

Officials said firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and a majority of the damage is isolated to one apartment unit.

The Red Cross was contacted to assist the occupants who have been displaced by the fire.

Benton County Fire District Number Four thanked the Richland Fire Department and Benton County Fire Protection District Number Two for assisting them. The West Richland Police Department was also on scene to assist people out of their apartments.
