RICHLAND, Wash. — The City of Richland is informing community members of a road closure that will take place for four hours starting on Wednesday morning for required traffic signal maintenance.

According to the alert by city officials, traffic signal controller maintenance will last from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. It will close Bradley Blvd and Falley St near Roaster’s Coffee. Authorities say that the traffic signal will be shut off completely during this timeframe.

This means that traffic on George Washington Way will be required to stop at the intersection because of the non-functioning traffic signal. This is likely to impact the daily commutes of people traveling through Richland on July 21.

Reader boards will be set in place to direct traffic from Bradley Blvd to Comstock St instead. Detour signs will be in place on Falley St to direct traffic to alternate routes during this timeframe.

Richland city officials ask that commuters follow the detours and use caution while driving through the area during this timeframe.

Authorities say that the four-hour project shouldn’t interfere with morning or afternoon travel on George Washington Way. However, you may want to allow for some extra travel time anyway if you will be driving through this area during that time frame.
