Santa and his workshop arrived in Kennewick for the Hometown Holiday Parade
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in Downtown Kennewick on Saturday, December 1st, for the Hometown Holiday Parade.
The day started with the Claus Plaza opening at 10 a.m. then the parade started at 10:30 a.m. on Kennewick Ave.
The old-fashioned parade featured decorated cars and trucks, local businesses, and Santa himself.
Activities started at at 11:30 a.m.
The winter workshop included an area to write letters to Santa or a loved one, Santa’s house where you could take a picture with him and Mrs. Claus, and tables so you could come in from the cold.
Numerica Credit Union gave out free hot chocolate and Roaster’s Coffee was also there with a booth.
There were vendors and food trucks set up on Benton Ave.
Children ran around with balloons from the parade and took pictures with winter cartoon cut-outs.
The event ended at 2 p.m.
