Santa Claus spending time at Northern Pacific Railway Museum in Toppenish
TOPPENISH, Wash. — Every year, Toy Train Christmas comes to the Northern Pacific Railway Museum in Toppenish, where families can hop on the train to the North Pole, meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and learn more about trains.
The event has been going on for about 15 years and all proceeds from the event go to restoring and maintaining displays at the museum.
Santa and Mrs. Claus say the best part is seeing the same families, year after year, from the time a child is very young, until they’re a teenager.
“[They’re in] high school and they still come and get their pictures taken,” Mrs. Claus said.
Tickets to the event are $5 for kids under 12 and $8 for adults. Optional pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus are available for about $10 to $20.
Toy Train Christmas will be up and running from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas.
