Scaregrounds: Tri-Cities’ biggest haunting experience opens this week
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Tri-Cities’ biggest haunting experience opens this Thursday at the Benton County Fairgrounds.
Scaregrounds is an interactive event with a 7,200-square-foot maze featuring actors dressed up as monsters and horror movie characters.
Unlike past years that featured three separate “haunting” experiences, this year will have one large haunting experience called “13 Doors.”
There will also be food vendors, a “Zombie Lounge & Booze Garden,” a paintball game and plenty of opportunities to take photos with the characters.
Scaregrounds is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Oct. 10 to Nov. 2, including Halloween. A kid-friendly day will be on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Vouchers for $5 off on Thursday nights are available at Tri-Cities and Walla Walla Dairy Queen locations. The fairgrounds is located at 1500 S. Oak St. in Kennewick.
