SeaPort Airlines ceases operations, no air service in Pendleton
For the moment, Eastern Oregon Regional Airport in Pendleton has no commercial air service.
SeaPort Airlines, the only company that serves the city, ceased operations yesterday and a judge ordered the airline to be coverted into Chapter 7 liquidation effective at noon today.
According to the airline, passengers who purchased tickets with a credit card may apply for a refund through their credit card company.
As for the future of air servce in Pendleton, the city council last month selected Boutique Air over SeaPort to supply service starting next year.
Talks are underway with Boutique Air to start service to Pendleton before it’s start date next year.
