Level 3 sex offender arrested for rape of minor in Richland, police say

RICHLAND, Wash. — A level 3 sex offender was arrested on suspicion of rape on Monday, according to the Richland Police Department.

Police had been investigating Joseph Anthony Hall, 22, over the past few months for his alleged involvement in a 2016 rape case in Richland, according to Sgt. Drew Florence.

Florence said he’s unable to release details about the case because the victim was a minor when the crime occurred.

After completing their investigation, police booked Hall into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of third-degree rape.

Hall was previously convicted of communication with a minor for immoral purposes in November 2011.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office just issued a press release on Friday to inform the public that he’d recently moved to the 1300 block of Potter Ave.
