Silent Disco for a Cause raises money for victim of human trafficking
RICHLAND, Wash. — Dance the night away, raising money for victims of sex trafficking while local DJs battle it out. The best part? You can sing as loud as you want and no one will hear you!
The 2nd Annual Silent Disco for a Cause is happening Saturday, Mar. 7 at the Uptown Theatre in Richland starting at 6:30 p.m.
Up to six local DJs will be playing different genres of music and attendees will get the opportunity to choose what they want to listen to through the light up headphones.
100% of the ticket sales will go to support RESCUE: FREEDOM, a non-profit organization that rescues women and children from a life of sexual slavery. They help restore them to a life of freedom, independence, and hope by providing for their physical, emotional, and holistic needs.
“It’s something that we just thought was on TV or wasn’t really a real thing but it’s locally, internationally, and we just want to be able to help and give back,” said event coordinator, Rachel Harrison.
Tickets are $40 and include the Silent Disco, snacks and two $5 beverage tickets. You can purchase your tickets, by clicking here.
