Sixth annual HeART of Healing fundraiser supports grieving Tri-Cities children

TRI-CITIES, Wash. — Chaplaincy Health Care is hosting the sixth annual HeART of Healing benefit auction to raise funds for children and teenagers in Cork’s Place — a Tri-Cities grief support program.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 21, from 5:30 to 9 p.m at the Red Lion Hotel in Pasco.

Organizers said it will feature artwork created by children in the program, “plus beverages, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a raffle, and a live and silent auction. Attendees will also hear testimonial stories from children, teens, and families who have been impacted by Cork’s Place,” a news release said.

Laurie Jackson, the CEO of Chaplaincy Health Care, said the fundraiser is “crucial” to the program’s success.

“This is how we are able to offer our events to our kids and their adults at no charge,” Jackson said. “The fact we’ve been able to continue this for this amount of time in the midst of what’s gone on in our community and in our world, says a lot about the generosity of our community and the desire to be helping our kids particularly live that best life.”

Tickets for the event cost $100 dollars each and officials said they are selling out quickly so they’re urging you to purchase before Monday.
