Snow showers developing Monday, up to 5 inches of snow in spots -Kristin
Snow showers developing by afternoon and evening
Several snow chances on the way this week! After a mainly dry start to the morning, snow showers will build in from the south this afternoon and evening. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for northern Oregon and along the foothills of the Blues starting this afternoon through Tuesday. Snow showers will continue overnight tonight through early Tuesday morning. Watch out for slick roads for Tuesday’s morning commute. Back to drier weather on Tuesday with only a few snow flurries leftover.
How much snow could we see?
Tri-Cities: 1 to 2″
Yakima/Kittitas Valley: 1/2″ to 1″
Foothills of the Blues: 2 to 5″ (locally 6″)
Dry during the day on Wednesday with our next snow chance possible late Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning. Light accumulating snow will be possible during this time frame. Dry Friday with another snow chance Friday night into Saturday.
Temperatures will be much colder this week in the 20’s and 30’s (average for this time of the year: low 40’s).
