Get ready for more winter weather over the weekend!
More winter weather on the way today. Out the door this morning light snow is possible around the Yakima and Kittitas Valley. A Winter Weather Advisory continues for that area until 10AM today. From the Tri-Cities and east into the foothills of the Blues, keeping an eye on a wintry mix possible especially by this afternoon. The commute home from work will be slick from Walla Walla down towards Pendleton. Look for highs today in the low to mid 30’s.
By Friday morning, we could see a little light snow around the Tri-Cities for the commute to work. This could create a few slick spots. Most of the day will be dry with plenty of clouds. A wintry mix will begin to move back into the area by late Friday into Saturday. Accumulating snow will be possible Friday night into Saturday morning around the Yakima and Kittitas Valley before changing over to a wintry mix by afternoon. A dry day ahead Sunday with highs near 40 degrees.
Next week, more unsettled weather will be possible Monday and Tuesday with rain showers in the Columbia Basin and a wintry mix around the Yakima Valley. Look for highs both days in the low 40’s. Drier by Wednesday with highs jumping above average in the upper 40’s.
