Splash pad in Milton-Freewater officially opens for the summer

MILTON-FREEWATER, Oreg. — Officials are hosting a grand opening for the long-awaited splash pad in Freewater Park.
According to a news release, they are kicking off the “summer of fun” by hosting a formal ribbon cutting on May 26 at 2 p.m. at 722 North Main, Milton-Freewater.
Officials say that the community, multiple members, and sponsors made the splash pad a reality, including “the Milton-Freewater Area Foundation, the Ford Family Foundation, Eurus, Wildhorse, the City of Milton-Freewater, Don Jackson Excavating, Monahan, Grove & Tucker, the Family of Thelma Garton, Munselle Rhodes Funeral Home, Walla Walla Electric, Carter Plumbing, Earl Brown & Sons, Central Washington Asphalt, Gordon Electric, Oregon State Representative Greg Smith, Northwest Steel, Walla Walla Nursery, David and Bonnie Shannon, Leslie and Leonard Brown, Dan and Kathy Lonai and Bill Albee.”
