Students Try To Break Regional Blood Donation Record

Students at Richland High School are trying to break the regional record for most units of blood donated in one day.

The goal is to donate over 200 units of blood during their Beatles themed blood drive tomorrow.

The theme is “The Needles, for a bloody good cause”.

Leadership teacher Jim Qualheim said this teaches kids the importance of giving blood and lets them do it in a creative and fun way.

The drive begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. at Richland High School in the small gym.

Qualheim said they still have some slots available for people to come in and donate between noon and 1:30 p.m.

All you have to do is show up to the gym around that time and help the students break the regional record.
