STEILACOOM, Wash. (AP) - A man was killed after being struck by a train in Steilacoom, Washington.The News Tribune reports the man was walking along the tracks south of Chambers Creek at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday when he jumped off one track to avoid a northbound freight train.BNSF Railways spokesman Gus Melonas says the man went to the other track and was hit by an Amtrak train traveling south to Portland.

Police: Boise man died after fistfight

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) - Idaho police say a 24-year-old Boise man has died after a fistfight outside the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.The fight happened about 2:15 a.m. Saturday during an event featuring the band Los Tucanes De Tijuana. Police officers who were working at the event tried to break up the fight between Pedro A. Fernandez-Ramirez and another man, but say the other man didn't follow their commands and was shot with a stun gun.

Driver killed after fleeing fiery Oregon crash

(AP) - Authorities say a driver was struck and killed by a minivan shortly after crashing into a gas pump in Oregon City.Clackamas Fire District 1 says the driver plowed into the pump early Monday, igniting a fire. The driver than ran onto Highway 213, where he was fatally struck.The crashes remain under investigation.

Man dies after fishing boat capsizes off Cape Flattery

PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) - The Clallam County Sheriff's Office says a 58-year-old Sequim man died after a fishing boat capsized off Cape Flattery in the Pacific Ocean.KOMO-TV reports that three people were in the non-commercial fishing boat Friday afternoon near Tattoosh Island when a wave hit the vessel.The wave pushed the boat against the rocks, and it flooded.
