Man whose gun failed while trying to shoot woman sentenced

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) - A man who told police his gun malfunctioned twice when he tried to shoot a woman he suspected of stealing heroin and cash from him has been sentenced to 8 1/2 years in prison.The Kitsap Sun reports that 27-year-old Davonne Creekmore told officers he and the woman had used heroin June 8 in a West Bremerton parking lot and then nodded off. He believed the woman had stolen his drugs and cash while he slept.
