After 71 confirmed cases, officials say PNW measles outbreak is over

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Officials in the Pacific Northwest say a measles outbreak that sickened 71 people is over. Dr. Alan Melnick of the Clark County, Washington, public health department said Monday it's been six weeks with no new cases. The good news from the Pacific Northwest comes as authorities elsewhere continue to struggle with the most measles cases in the U.S. since 1994.
