Ex-worker guilty of raping disabled woman at center

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A former supervisor at a state-run center for people with developmental disabilities has been found guilty of trying to rape a client.A jury in Pierce County Superior Court found 62-year-old Terry Shepard guilty of second-degree attempted rape and indecent liberties on Wednesday.Shepard was accused of having sex with a 57-year-old developmentally disabled woman inside the facility in Buckley.
