The City of Pasco still uses a Chevy truck purchased back in 1966
PASCO, Wash. — Fifty-three years is a long career for anyone, let alone a truck.
So it might come as a surprise that the City of Pasco is still using a Chevrolet flatbed truck that it purchased new back in 1966.
On Tuesday, the Pasco Police Department wrote a tongue-in-cheek Facebook post honoring the truck as the City’s “employee of the month.”
“She is currently limited to shuttle runs between the City Facilities complex and the water treatment plant, but still at work,” police wrote.
Police said the truck’s radiator was just replaced, so hopefully that means she’s still got a few more good years in her.
