Third test result for suspected COVID-19 in Kittitas Co. comes back negative

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — Kittitas County health officials have received results back for a third COVID-19 case and it’s negative.

While the results were negative, the county health department has added another person to its investigation list. As of Wednesday, three test results for novel coronavirus have come back negative. Two are currently under investigation.

“As testing increases, KCPHD will continue to notify the public of the number of people under investigation along with test results,” said the Kittitas County Public Health Department. “With the increase, we will no longer be providing additional information for each person under investigation. ”

They said only people who meet certain testing guidelines will be tested for COIVD-19.

KCPHD continues to urge the community to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 with the following:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water.  If that is not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home while you are sick.
  • Cover your cough.
