Thousands are expected to attend the Luminaria at the Arboretum
YAKIMA, Wash. — The most anticipated candle-lit walk in Yakima starts Friday night at the Arboretum.
The Luminaria features a loop trail through the arboretum that is filled with over 1,000 candles.
The event will run through Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It is completely free to the public.
People will also get to enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate and Tree Top apple cider.
There will also be various activities for families to enjoy.
Co-Executive Director Colleen Adams-Schuppe said they expect over a thousand people for both days.
“People can park across the street in the pave well-lit parking lot over at U-haul,” said Adams-Schuppe. “The city will shuttle people over it takes about 5 minutes super quick.”
The arboretum also wants to remind people to not bring their pets to this event.
