Thousands line up downtown Spokane to audition for American Idol
SPOKANE, Wash. — The American Idol production crew is in the Lilac City and thousands are showing up for their shot at becoming the show’s next star.
The line of Idol hopefuls wrapped around the block at the Davenport Grand hotel Sunday morning.

Those auditioning will not have to sing in front of superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, today at least.
At this stage, they’ll face two rounds of auditions in front of producers. If they make it through, they’ll get to perform in front of the judges later on.
Registration is open until 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
