Toppenish’s Cemetery Tim is making a new headstone for rapper Nate Dogg
TOPPENISH, Wash. — Cemetery Tim, a renowned Toppenish-based headstone maker, has confirmed that he’s creating a new headstone for the late rapper Nate Dogg.
According to a post on Cemetery Tim’s Facebook page, which has nearly 650,000 likes, Nate Dogg’s family will be coming to Toppenish for a pre-unveiling of the headstone. Fans in the area are also welcome to attend.
Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale is considered a pioneer of West Coast hip hop, having collaborated with artists like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Warren G, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and many others.
The world-famous rapper died on March 15, 2011 at the age of 41 due to complications related to multiple strokes.
TMZ reports that Cemetery Tim hopes to publicly unveil Nate Dogg’s headstone at the rapper’s grave site in Long Beach, Calif. on Dec. 1. He has not said when the Toppenish unveiling will be.
Earlier this year, Cemetery Tim made a new headstone for N.W.A. rapper Eazy E, which was presented before a large crowd in Toppenish before in July before being publicly unveiled on Sept. 7 — which would have been Eazy E’s 55th birthday.
