Tri-Cities Battle of the Bands starts May 8 in Richland

Rage at the Stage, the Tri-Cities Battle of the Bands, is starting May 8 in Richland.

It’s an opportunity for upcoming local musicians to show what they’re made of and potentially perform at the HAPO Community Stage for the finals on Jun. 17. It will be a festival-style concert including food trucks, festival vendors and music acts competing for cash prizes.

The jamming begins at 8 p.m. at the Emerald of Siam Thai Restaurant and Lounge.

There are three divisions to compete in: Junior acts (under 18), solo/duos and bands. Registration for junior acts is $20 and for everyone else it’s $30. Audience admission is free.

Preliminary acts will run every Monday in May along with the semi-finals on Jun. 2 at 1314 Jadwin Ave.

The Battle of the Bands is being hosted by The Emerald of Siam, the City of Richland and Dirty River Entertainment.
