Tumbleweeds burrito pays off $4,000 of Richland student lunch debts
RICHLAND, Wash. — In mid-November, Tumbleweeds Mexican Flair launched a new product to help pay off lunch debs for Richland students.
The Cafeteria Burrito was available though New Year’s Eve for $5 with 50% of all proceeds going toward negative meal balances within the Richland School District.
The burrito has been a tasty success.
Since it debut, Tumbleweeds has sold 1619 of them — raising $4,047.50 by New Year’s Eve.
The product is no longer available, but the restaurant plans to make an announcement about its return and continuation on Wednesday, the first day of 2020. Stay tuned!
