Tumbleweeds’ ‘Cafeteria Burrito’ raises over $1,000 to pay off school lunch debts
RICHLAND, Wash. — Tumbleweeds has raised $1,085 for school lunch debts only one week after adding the Cafeteria Burrito to their menu.
The burrito costs $5, and the restaurant has vowed to donate 50% for each one sold to a fund that pays off negative meal balances for Richland students.
That means Tumbleweeds has sold 434 Cafeteria Burritos in the past week.
The burrito comes with beans, cheese, rice, sour cream, burrito sauce, Sriracha ranch and onion/cilantro mix.
The restaurant is located at 894 Stevens Dr. in Richland.
