Two hospitalized in a head-on car wreck in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. — Two people were hospitalized following a head-on car crash on Argent Rd in Pasco Tuesday night. While none of the injuries sustained in the accident are considered life-threatening, they are serious

According to a Facebook post by the Pasco Police, the crash occurred around 9:40 p.m. on the evening of June 1. Officers say that the accident took place nearby to Road 54.

They say that police and fire officials responded to the scene of the accident immediately to render help. There were no passengers involved in this accident – Only the two drivers.

One of the drivers had to be extracted from their car by first responders from the Pasco Fire Department.

Witnesses said that the eastbound driver veered into the westbound lane, colliding with the victim. An investigation is ongoing by Pasco police, but at this point, they believe that fatigue was a primary contributing factor to the accident.

Local authorities say that airbags and seatbelts were crucial in preventing more serious injuries as a result of this collision.

Both vehicles sustained serious damage — One of which had the entire front smashed in from the impact.
