RIMROCK LAKE, Wash. — Authorities say two people were injured Friday in a crash on Highway 12 near Rimrock Lake.

Washington State Patrol troopers say 56-year-old Ernesto Flores-Ramirez was traveling westbound in a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan when he lost control of the vehicle.

Flores-Ramirez crashed into a 2013 Subaru Outback driven by 71-year-old Roger W. Chantler, who was headed in the opposite direction, troopers said.

The crash happened about 1:45 p.m., as both drivers were approaching milepost 161, about 25 miles west of Naches.

Both drivers were injured and taken to Virginia Mason Memorial hospital for treatment.

Troopers say Flores-Ramirez was traveling at a speed too fast for the road conditions and may face charges in connection with the crash.
