US Highway 2 closed for downed trees and power lines
SKYKOMISH, Wash. — Downed trees and power lines have blocked US Highway 2 between Gold Bar and Skykomish. Trees are continuing to fall and conditions are too dangerous for crew to clear the area or let travelers through safely.
Westbound US Highway 2 will be closed between Stevens Pass (milepost 64) and Gold Bar (milepost 32), as well as eastbound US Highway 2 between Gold Bar (milepost 32) and Skykomish (milepost 46). Crews will be back out there Monday morning to assess and start to clear the area.
You can travel east toward Leavenworth as an alternative route.
