Va, police responding to report of active shooter in Henrico County

Police in Henrico County, Virginia, gave the all clear Wednesday evening after searching a school where there was a report of an active shooter, authorities said.

“(The Academy at) Virginia Randolph has been given the ‘all clear,'” police tweeted. “There are no reported injuries and it is believed no shooting took place at the school.”

The county school system tweeted that police went room by room through the Academy at Virginia Randolph in the town of Glen Allen.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.

Henrico County is near Richmond.
