Very warm with gusty winds developing Thursday -Kristin

Happy Thursday!

Changes ahead over the next few days with a strong cold front moving through the Pacific Northwest. Starting off this morning quiet with temperatures down into the 40’s and 50’s. The wind will start to pick-up this afternoon into the evening with gusts at times 20 to 30 MPH. There is a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm with the front mainly along the foothills of the Blues during the 2nd half of the day. Temperatures will soar into the upper 80’s in spots today.

A big temperature drop is expected on Friday behind the front with highs down into the mid to upper 60’s. It will still be a breezy day with gusts up to 25 MPH possible. There is even a small shower chance possible during the afternoon. Can’t rule out a heavy downpour with small hail possible durning that time.

The upcoming weekend will feature more sunshine with slightly warmer temperatures. Back up to 70 Saturday and low 70’s for Mother’s Day Sunday.
