Victim murdered at N. Spokane motel identified as 24-year-old woman
SPOKANE, Wash. — The woman murdered at the Rodeway Inn in North Spokane has been identified as 24-year-old Makayla Young.
The Medical Examiner said Young died from multiple stab wounds.
Young was found covered in blood and someone had made a “significant attempt” to remove her head, according to court documents filed in Spokane County District Court. Police said they found her body face down and partially nude on a bed.
A housekeeper discovered the crime scene Friday morning. She told police that the day before, the men staying there had placed bloody towels outside the door.
Two men, Anthony Fuerte and Lionel White, were arrested on second degree murder charges over the weekend and made their first appearances in court on Monday. Furte is being held on a $1.5 million bond, while White is being held on a $1 million.
