(VIDEO) Walla Walla marine welcomed home by family, friends

Please join us in welcoming WWSO Corporal Chris Johnson home. Law enforcement, firefighters, family and friends joined at the airport late last night to greet him upon returning from his overseas deployment. Johnson holds the rank of Major in the Marine Corp Reserve, and has been gone for nearly a year. We are grateful for your service, and the sacrifices you and your family have made for our country, Chris! WELCOME HOME!

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – It was a warm welcome home for one marine in Walla Walla over the weekend.

Major Chris Johnson is part of the Marine Corp Reserve and had been gone for nearly a year before his return on Friday night.

His family was more than excited to see him upon his return – holding up a sign before running into his arms.

Johnson is also a part of the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, and their staff was also there to welcome him home.

The sheriff’s office wrote on their Facebook page, “We are grateful for your service, and the sacrifices you and your family have made for our country, Chris! WELCOME HOME!”
