Walla Walla man killed in Columbia Co. crash
COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol says drugs or alcohol played a factor in a crash that killed a Walla Walla man Saturday morning.
Troopers responded to a crash at 10:45 near Little Goose Dam and Riveria roads, about eight miles east of SR 261 in Columbia County.
When they arrived, troopers found 64-year-old Pedro Ayala Barroso dead at the scene. Another man, 38-year-old Pedro Raymond Ayala was not injured. Both men are Walla Walla residents.
Investigators are working to determine who was the driver and passenger. However, they say drugs and alcohol were involved.
According to WSP , the driver of the 1974 Chevrolet pickup was going east on Little Goose Dam Road. They failed to negotiate a turn and slammed into a rock wall.
The investigation is ongoing.
