Walla Walla Public Schools host free summer youth sports camps

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Are you looking at summer camp options for a child between Grades 3 and 8? Walla Walla Public Schools (WWPS) are hosting a variety of athletic summer camps in conjunction with Walla Walla High School (Wa-Hi) this summer to keep local kids safe, active, and accounted for.

Five camp sessions will span from late June to early August across five separate sports. The camp themes, dates, locations, and times will be listed below, as provided by the school district.

Tennis – Location: Garrison Middle School, Days: June 22, 23, 29, 30, Times: (3rd to 5th grade) 11 a.m.-12 p.m., (6th to 8th grade) 12-1 p.m.

Girls Soccer –  Location: Reser Field, Days: Aug 2,3, 4, Time: 5-6:30 p.m.

Cheer – Location: Berney Elementary, Days: June 28 to July 2, Times: TBD

Footbal – Location: WaHi Football Field, Days July 19 to 23, Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Track & Field – Location: WaHi Track, Days: June 21- 23, Time: 6:30-8 p.m.

The Little Devils Summer Athletic Camps are a joint effort from Wa-Hi and the WWPS Summer Sol programs. Camps are available for those who are enrolled in Walla Walla schools in the previously-mentioned grade range.

Please be advised that students who are enrolled in the “Accelerated Learning” portion of Summer Sol will not conflict with athletic camps. All youth camps will begin at 11 a.m. or later, allowing enrolled students to partake in both sections of the camp experience.
