WALLA WALLA, Wash. — The Walla Walla University Aviation Program is set to celebrate 50 years on Friday.
For the last eight years, the program has had a 100 percent post college industry placement rate, with one of the biggest fleets of the Seventh-day Adventist aviation programs nationwide.
Friday the aviation program will host an open house at the university’s flight center at Walla Walla Regional Airport to honor the program.
“So it really epitomizes what we have been working for all these years to come together for Seventh-day Adventist education and the aviation program providing pilots for the world,” Walla Walla University Aviation Program Operations Manager, Michael Gref said.
Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the open house will showcase an airplane simulator and the university’s aviation fleet, as well as other historical aspects related to the program.
