Walla Walla woman killed in hit-and-run was a young mother
MILTON-FREEWATER, Wash. – A Walla Walla woman who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Milton-Freewater early Sunday was a young mother to a 3-year-old boy, according to one of her friends.
Alicia Bernhardt, 20, was on foot when she was hit by a car on Highway 11 near Northeast First Avenue around 3:30 a.m. The car fled before authorities arrived.
Authorities believe the suspect’s vehicle is a blue 2002 or 2003 Honda Accord. The car should have damage to the front passenger side. It has yet to be located.
Bernhardt’s son, Sebastian, is reportedly in need of size 6 diapers, wipes, size 4T boys clothing and size 10 toddler boys shoes.
