Wanted woman gives fake name, runs from Kennewick police
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A woman tried to escape being taken into custody by Kennewick police while officers were looking for a vehicle prowler on Tuesday.
According to the Kennewick Police Department, around 1:05 a.m. officers were dispatched to reports of a vehicle prowler near Irving Place and West Albany Avenue.
When they arrived they found a ‘suspicious’ looking man leaving and getting into a vehicle behind a business.
Kennewick police talked to the man, as well as 26-year-old Brooke Dahlke.
Dahlke, a warrant suspect, fled from officers but was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
She was arrested on her warrants as well as for giving a fake name to cops and resisting arrest.
The suspected vehicle prowler, 27-year-old Thomas Ruane, was also booked for a warrant.
