Washington passes Bill to make ACA Protections State Law

Lawmakers in Washington State have voted to take federal patient protections and put them into state law.
The protections come from the 2010 affordable care act and they include protections like a ban on throwing people off of their insurance for pre-existing conditions.

The state house and senate have passed the bill and next it heads to Governor Jay Inslee’s desk for his signature.
