Washington State Parks offers free admission this Sunday

In honor of the National Park Service’s 103rd anniversary, admission to Washington state parks is free of charge on Aug. 25. On that day in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed the act that created the National Park Service.

All National Parks will also have free admission for day use.

Vistitors will however still need a Discover Pass to access parks managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The next free days will be on Saturday, Sept. 28 for National Public Lands Day, and on Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.
