Washington State Patrol conducting extra DUI patrols on New Year’s Eve
If you’re planning to celebrate the new year with a few drinks, make sure you have a safe plan for getting home.
The Washington State Patrol and local law enforcement are conducting extra DUI patrols starting New Year’s Eve. The goal is to get intoxicated drivers off the road to keep other drivers and pedestrians safe.
In the Tri-Cities area, troopers will focus on I-182, SR 240 and Highway 395. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office will also be doing extra patrols in their jurisdiction.
In an effort to keep those who intend to party off the road, Lyft is offering a $10 credit for safe rides during the New Year’s holiday, according to Pasco Police.
You just have to download the Lyft app and apply code “PLANB4TRI.”
