Water Follies brings in over $3 million for Tri-Cities economy
TRI-CITIES, Wash. — The 2019 Tri-City Water Follies event brought in over $3 million for the Tri-Cities economy, according to Visit Tri-Cities.
Marketing Director Karisa Saywers said about 7,000 people from out of town come to the area for the popular event. In total, it is estimated that the tourists spent $3,062,500 on hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc. over the weekend.
Saywers said the number has been consistent over the past few years because attendance to the event has been steady.
