WEST RICHLAND, Wash. — The 12-year-old girl hit by a car in West Richland on Friday night is in “stable condition,” said Harborview staff.

The young girl was hit by a car on Paradise Way near Eagle Street as she was crossing the road. Police say the driver showed no signs of impairment.
Mercedes was sent to Harborview Medical Center for her injuries. The GoFundMe stated that there is a possibility that she could go home tomorrow.
In a message from her mom, she said, “Let other kids know that they need to be really careful that even walking in the crosswalk that bad things can happen and to always be super vigilante.”
The fundraiser also says Mercedes was doing well on Sunday morning and is achieving everything the doctors wanted.
