WIAA Drill and Dance Championships arrive at the Yakima Valley Sundome
YAKIMA, WASH. — Continuing tomorrow, a dare to dance!
High schools across Washington state, coming together locally to compete for a title at the dance and drill state championships.
“It’s a blessing knowing that all the practices that we’ve gone through you know they are finally paying off we met our goal on making it to state and now we just want to leave our hearts out in the dance floor,” said Othello High student Wendy Rivera.
The competition began today at the Yakima Valley Sundome and will continue through tomorrow.
More than a hundred and fifty performances are scheduled, all in different genre categories.
And although not everyone will leave with a title, most teams have the same purpose.
