Wind gusts to 40 MPH PLUS: Dodging a few rain showers -Kristin
More wind and a few rain showers possible
Yes, you guessed it…more wind on the way today. The wind could gust at times 30 to 40 MPH throughout the day.
Mainly dry locally with only a slight chance of a stray shower. Active weather continues along the eastern slopes of the Cascades and in the mountains today. Snow levels will begin to rise this afternoon to 4000 feet. Be sure to check pass reports if you are traveling through the mountains.
Tuesday, another weak system moves through the PNW with only a slight chance of a few rain showers. The wind will stay a bit breezy between 20 to 25 MPH.
Temperatures will continue to stay above average, especially over the next few days! Climbing into the upper 50’s both today and Tuesday. A little cooler Wednesday through the end of the week with highs back into the upper 40’s.
After sunshine returns Wednesday into Thursday, active weather returns for the weekend. Friday on and off rain showers will be possible. More rain showers are expected in the Columbia Basin on Saturday with a chance of a wintry mix in the Yakima and Kittitas Valley on Saturday. Another chance of a wintry mix is expected on Sunday around the entire area with colder temperatures moving into the area.
Early outlook for next week…turning much colder with highs back into the 30’s. And with an active weather pattern still in place around the PNW, that could mean snow chances several days next week. We will keep you posted!
