Rain returns on Sunday, wintry mix for some
Drying out today with a few peeks of sunshine. Look for a mild afternoon with some areas climbing into the mid to upper 50’s. Winds will return especially later this evening and tonight with a cold front approaching the area. Overnight we could see wind gusts up to 35 MPH. A few rain showers will return after 9 or 10PM tonight with the front.
Back to drier weather locally on Saturday with sunshine. Winds will stick around with gusts between 20 to 25 MPH. A bit cooler behind the front on Saturday with highs in the upper 40’s to near 50 degrees.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the Cascades starting at 10PM tonight through 4PM Saturday. Be sure to check pass reports if traveling this weekend. Most of the heavy snow will be above 4,000 feet. White Pass could pick up 8 to 12 inches of fresh snow.
Another round of unsettled weather swings through the area on Sunday with light rain showers possible. A wintry mix is expected around the Yakima and Kittitas Valley on Sunday morning. Look for highs on Sunday in the upper 40’s.
Next week, our active weather pattern will continue with a slight chance of a shower each day. Temperatures will stay slightly above average in the upper 40’s.
